Start of a new dream?// Casey & Lissa

caseyedwards:

After a very successful date of laser tag, arcade games and bowling, Casey was 100% sure of what he was going to do next. He paid the taxi driver and held the cab door open for Lissa. She smiled and took his hand, Casey mentally told the butterflies to calm down or he was going to drown them in soda in the next 30 minutes. He fixed his coat on the girl as he lead her to the dorms. She knew the way from the many days she stayed with the tan boy, but this was going to be special. Hopefully this would be an important memory for the both of them. Casey’s phone buzzed and he checked the message form his roommate, ‘Everything is ready bro, good luck!’. Casey texted a quick ‘thank you’ and put his phone back in his pocket. “What was that?” Lissa asked with a smile. Casey grinned, “You’ll see soon. You do like surprises don’t you?” She laughed and quickens her pace as they made it to the elevator. The doors opened, Lissa pressed the button and seemed to bounce in excitement. Casey leaned against the wall and just smiled as he watched the girl. The doors opened and Lissa ran out toward the dorm she already knew so well. Casey followed quickly and just made it to the door before she could open it. “Now hold on a second, you have to wait out her for a minute okay?” Casey said with a smile. Lissa pouted, “But I want to know what the surprise is!” Casey’s heart melted at her pout, she knew that he had no chance against it. Casey had to look away as he slipped into the dorm and called through the door, “No peeking until I say to come in okay?” Lissa sighed and rolled her eyes sightly, she was just ready for this to happen, but she closed her eyes and replied an ‘okay’. Casey smiled at the room, his roommate followed his instructions perfectly. Everything was ready, expect the most important part. Casey lifted the handmade lantern and lit the small candle inside it and waited until it started floating like the others. He held it carefully and made his way to the center of the living room with the other small lanterns floating around the room. He nodded an called for Lissa to come in and open her eyes when he said to. Lissa made her way in carefully, eyes still shut. “T-this way.” Casey called out nervously. Lissa turned toward Casey’s voice and stood still, hands together on her waist, “Now?” she asked. “Now.” Casey replied. Lissa opened her eyes to see the plain living room she was used to transformed into an magical scene pulled out from the animated movie she and Casey had bonded over. Casey stepped forward keeping the lantern in front of him and he let a nervous grin appear as he looked from the girl to the lantern and waited for her response.

Lissa followed the sound of Casey’s voice with her eyes shut, at this point she was dying to open them, Lissa loved surpises but what she loved even more was finding out what the surprise was. Finally Casey had told her to open, as she did without wasting a single second. A smile grew on her face as she looked around the living room, which she had once occupied many nights, watching movies and eating cupcakes. Tonight the room had been transformed though, into a scene from on of her favorite movies, the movie her and Casey both loved actually. She looked all around completely speechless at all the glowing lanterns floating around the room. The smile that had come to be on her face felt permanent at this point, everything was perfect. When she looked to Casey with bright eyes she looked at the lantern in front of him, causing her smile to grow even more, she didn’t know what to say, no one had ever done something this special for her, so there she stood grinning like a complete fool, biting her lower lip and nodding her head. At this point she wasn’t sure if she could speak even if she thought of words to say. Nothing she could say would describe how happy she was feeling right at that moment.

and I’m back.
